I was inspired by a business magazine article this week – the question was posed “what are you loving this month?”, which got me to thinking about great customer experiences or products I come across too. Here are a few…
Service: The Bouqs
So it’s too late for Valentine’s Day, but I’m stoked by the experience I had with ordering flowers from The Bouqs. I heard about these guys via the UCLA Entrepreneur’s Conference (the CEO is an Anderson School grad), and I filed the thought away. The premise is that flowers and customer experience from the big services suck (they do) and that it’s time for a painless alternative. Great pricing, no BS, nice products, excellent ordering, end-to-end smooth. That’s why they make the list…
Book: Ctrl Alt Delete
I read so many business books that they all sort of blur together. I don’t even know what made me get this one, but it had some good insights for management trying to get their heads around being digital. For those of us who have been for a long time, it explains why we end up fighting the brass over what we think is common sense. App: Mynd
Although I’m mostly on a laptop, I obviously have drive time (the catch to living in Los Angeles…). Mynd offers a better mousetrap for a calendar. Clean, hip, more useful than anything else I’ve tried.
Travel: Virgin America
My latest trip, a short hop to NoCal, reminded me why I like Virgin America. For the same price as Southwest, it was just more civilized and convenient. I don’t understand why air travel got so unpleasant, but if you have to go, I sure dig the lounge atmosphere (inside the plane…).
I hope something here can help you!
